The Air Force Command Headquarters Released a Press Release Explaining the Matter of “Fighter Aircrafts Returning to National Expressways for Take-offs and Landings During This Year’s Han Kuang Exercise”.

Regarding the media coverage of “Fighter Aircrafts Returning to National Expressways for Take-offs and Landings During This Year’s Han Kuang Exercise”, the Air Force Command Headquarters has stated today (11th) that combat readiness runway take-off and landing drill has always been one of the important combat drills and trainings established by the command headquarters, which simulates smooth take-off and landing operations on the runway during combat through a hands-on verification method in order to exert the continuous combat capability of the Air Force.

The Air Force Command Headquarters has further stated that in order to consider the requirements for both national security and combat readiness, the command headquarters is planning to cooperate with the road surface refurbishment schedule of the Freeway Bureau, implement combat readiness drills, logistics preparation, and verification on relevant operation procedures in order to strengthen the excellent combat capability; such verification subject is still in the planning phase, hence the command headquarters hereby requests the support of citizens.
